34 news; The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has said that with the arrival of winter and the cold weather, more than 24 million Afghanistan citizens need urgent humanitarian aid.
OCHA, tweeted that currently, it has snowed in some parts of the country and many needy families are still experiencing very cold temperatures.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs added: “24.4 million people live in desperate conditions. With commodity prices rising, they have reached a tipping point and are in urgent need of assistance such as warm clothes, shelter, and cash for heating.”
Meanwhile, the World Bank has called the life situation of Afghans difficult in a recent survey.
It should be mentioned that the United Nations had previously said that in the upcoming winter, a large number of citizens will have to choose between food and heating their homes.
