34 news; The office of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has announced the meeting of the officials of this organisation with large several women from all over the country.
Today, Friday, UNAMA expressed that the officials of this organisation have met with a large number of Afghan women from all over the country in a series of meetings.
The UN mission in Afghanistan says that respect for rights, meaningful participation and access to education have been discussed in these meetings. In the UNAMA newsletter, it is stated that “women have asked the United Nations to provide a platform for dialogue between them and the current authorities to achieve economic and educational opportunities.”
The Office of the United Nations Deputy in Afghanistan said: “The women in Kabul asked the United Nations to help open spaces of dialogue between them and the actual Afghan authorities, help them increase economic and educational opportunities, their basic rights restore and protect the achievements of empowerment”.
In the newsletter, it is said that Marcus Potzel, the UN Special Representative for Afghanistan, said: “We constantly remind the authorities of the government’s obligations as a party to the human rights has been discussed in these meetings.”
