34 news; Muhammad Sadiq Khan, Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan affairs, who participated in the Moscow consultative meeting, emphasised the continuation of humanitarian support and said that Afghanistan’s humanitarian needs should be kept away from any political considerations.
He said that according to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2615, humanitarian aid is not included in the scope of sanctions. The representative of Pakistan also called the stable interaction of the international community with the Taliban government as essential and said that the international community should “cooperate with the Afghan authorities without prejudice” keeping in mind the country’s priorities.
Mr. Sadiq added that the inclusive government that the international community expected from the Taliban has not been fulfilled, women’s rights have decreased, and the traces of terrorist organisations in Afghanistan have not yet been completely eradicated.
Moscow’s consultative meeting on Afghanistan was held today, Wednesday, with the participation of regional countries’ representatives.
