Some religious scholars and ethnic elders in a gathering in Paktia Province, ask the Islamic Emirate to reopen girls’ schools above the sixth grade to students.
According to 34 News; These religious scholars declared in a gathering in Gardiz, the capital of Paktia province, that girls have the same right to go to school and study as boys.
The participants of this gathering, along with the reopening of girls’ schools by the Islamic Emirate, also demanded the international community’s interaction with Kabul to free up Afghanistan’s foreign exchange reserves.
The Islamic Emirate has already announced the creation of a committee to reopen girls’ schools, but it is not yet clear when these schools will be opened.
It should be noted that the international community has repeatedly requested the reopening of girls’ schools and women’s rights to work permission to work in government offices.
