Inauguration of Spring International Exhibition in Kabul
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, deputy economic head of the caretaker government of the Islamic Emirate, stressed on the use of the country’s internal capacities, saying that the country’s economic problems stemmed from the lack of work of the previous governments.
Officials of the Afghanistan Traders and Investors Union opened the 11th International Public Exhibition on the occasion of Industry Week with the presence of senior officials of the Islamic Emirate and emphasized on supporting the domestic production of the country.
Atef Daei, the head of the Afghanistan Traders and Investors Union, said: “In this exhibition, 300 stalls of domestic and foreign products have been displayed, 150 stalls for men and another 150 stalls for women.”
Speaking at the opening ceremony of this exhibition, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the economic deputy of the head of the caretaker government, said: “This exhibition should not be the first and the last, and such programs should continue in order to grow the country’s economy and industry.”
He emphasized on supporting the businessmen and investors of the country and added: the economic situation of Afghanistan is better for our businessmen and the experience of this segment of society should be used for the economic growth of the country.
Mullah Baradar said: Today’s economic situation of the country is the result of previous governments that looted funds and did not do fundamental work, while our country is a deprived country in every sense, but we remained poor.
Uber emphasized the use of the country’s domestic capacities and said: “Economic problems cannot be solved with the help of the world, we must pay serious attention to the self-sufficiency of electricity, industry and trade.”
At the same time, Nouruddin Azizi, Acting Minister of Industry and Trade, said: “I hope that the opening of the Bahar Nou exhibition will mark the economic spring of our country”.
He stated that today’s policy of the Islamic Emirate is an economy-oriented policy and said: “The leadership of the Islamic Emirate has a serious will to achieve the country’s economic freedom as well as political and military freedom”.
He said: “With limited resources, we have a serious commitment to serve our people and investors and grow the country’s economy with cooperation.”
Acting Minister of Industry and Trade announced the readiness of hundreds of domestic and foreign companies to mine the country’s mines and said: “Our other plan is to activate joint-stock companies that will invest more than 300 million dollars in Afghanistan in the near future, and our effort is that domestic production Let’s standardize it”.
Mohammad Hasan Shirzaei, the economic advisor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, said: We have a lot in common with Afghanistan, Iran has stood by the Afghans in difficult situations and they have always tried to help the Afghans.
Re-announcing his country’s cooperation in the economic, industrial, health and commercial sectors with Afghanistan, he said: “Iran has come as a good neighbor to work on self-sufficiency and self-sufficiency in Afghanistan because Iran benefits from an advanced and progressive Afghanistan.”
Mr. Shir Zaei said that we know Afghanistan’s future prospects better and added: “We are trying to hold two more exhibitions in Afghanistan this year and contribute to Afghanistan’s economic growth, especially in the agriculture sector.”
Deen Muhammad Hanif, Acting Minister of Economy, called corruption an obstacle to Afghanistan’s development and said: If our industrialists have low-quality products and our traders continue to import low-quality materials, they are considered the worst corruption.
He also called the policy of the Islamic Emirate as economy-oriented and emphasized that we should develop small and large industries because the country’s progress and development is ensured in this way.
Maulvi Hanif considered the country’s economic turn to be dependent on electricity and said: “Afghanistan has the capacity to produce 300,000 megawatts of electricity. There is a serious plan and will to produce this amount of electricity inside the country.”
Khalilur Rehman Haqqani, Acting Minister of Immigrants and Returnees, said: “The Islamic Emirate has done some work in the field of creating the foundations for the country’s investors, and we invite our investors to invest in the country and contribute to the economic growth of their country.”
Sakhi Ahmad Peyman, the deputy of the Chamber of Industries and Mines, said: “Currently, 5 thousand manufacturing and industrial companies are active in 67 sectors in the country, which has directly facilitated the employment of 500 thousand tons and indirectly for one million fields.
He said that we are trying to get rid of dependence slowly, and for this reason, in the near future, joint stock companies will be activated in Afghanistan and will collect the wandering capital of the country.
