Macron: Europe’s support for Ukraine against Russia’s aggression will be enduring
34 news; French President Emmanuel Macron, who was speaking virtually at the Crimean Platform conference in Kyiv today, Tuesday/August 23, pledged that the European Union’s support for Ukraine against Russia’s aggression would be “long-term”.
He emphasized that “Six months after the start of the conflict, our commitment has not changed and we are ready to maintain this effort for the long term.”
Before Macron, US President Joe Biden also said that the US and its allies will support Ukraine “as long as necessary” and will not let this country lose to Russia.
It is worth mentioning that Russia attacked Ukraine on February 24 of this year. During this invasion, tens of thousands of civilians have been killed and injured, and millions of others have either been displaced from their homes or have been forced to leave this country.
